The Scottish Youth Parliament believes that, in relation to information sharing, young people want to know who will see their information, what will be shared, what it will be used for and why, and how long it will be kept for. As regards permission, they want to know if their consent will be upheld, if it can be retracted and if their consent will be requested every time information is sought or only once. Young people also want to know that their information will be protected in line with data protection and information regulations.
